Shameless tacos

In Norway, tacos has become the big ‘Friday-thing’, but many of us are a little embarrassed to admit eating it.. This is my version; one I am not ashamed serving guests 😉 The most important thing is that is is healthy, and tastes great!

Salsa

Salsa:

  • Tomatoes
  • red onions
  • coriander (lots of it)
  • chilli
  • lime juice

Guacamole:

  • avocados
  • coriander
  • chilli
  • garlic
  • salt and pepper

Guilt free tacos

TACO SPICE-MIX:

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp crushed chili flakes
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 3 tbsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp pepper

You need approx. 2 tbsp per 500g ground beef. Fry meat and spices with a chopped onion and some garlic. Add some water.

FAJITA SPICE MIX:

  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp chicken bullion
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlig powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp cumin

Approx. 2 tbsp per 500 g meat/chicken, 2 bell peppers and 1 red onion, sliced.

Serve:

Soft flour tortillas or whatever you prefer, lettuce, salsa, guacamole, cucumber, sour cream, grated cheese, taco meat and/or chicken.
